It’s been such a fun and busy season for my crochet projects, and my yarn stash has definitely been getting a workout! I might be able to get rid of the storage unit this year (iykyk). Recently, I’ve been mixing it up with both practical pieces and mainly whimsical little creations, trying to stick to the "alternative" theme.

First up,  scrunchies. I’ve been loving working with soft, plush yarns to make big, fluffy scrunchies in bright colors, colors that *I* would wear anyways. They’re not only super cute to wear but also kind to your hair, the perfect item to dress up a boring bun. I work as a chef and my hair is in a bun 40 hours a week lol. I have to break my uniform somehow, and this adds to my buns.

On the more playful side, I’ve been diving deep into plushies, specifically CLOWNS. One of my personal highlights has been dressing up Snoopy in different themed outfits, from a pumpkin costume to a cowboy hat and even a colorful clown look (can you tell that I'm obsessed with clowns?). It’s so satisfying to see each one take on its own personality as the stitches come together. I’ve also been experimenting with new shapes and textures, filling up storage bins with a variety of squishy companions as the market prep continues. There’s something about crocheting tiny creatures that’s pure joy like each one carries a little piece of happiness inside its stitches. I wish I could keep every single creation I've made!

✨ Fun Fact: Did you know that the word amigurumi comes from Japanese? Ami means “crocheted or knitted,” and nuigurumi means “stuffed doll.” So every time you make one, you’re literally creating a “crocheted stuffed doll”!

I hope to be able to stock my website with ready to ship items as well as made to order items for this holiday season! I won't be accepting custom orders this time around, as I really am hoping to stock this site! Thanks for reading <3
